What is Pourdle?
Pourdle is a free daily game about judging volume. Every day there are five glasses, each with a target like Fill to 54%. Hold to pour, let go to stop, and try to land exactly on the target. The glasses have no markings, so you have to read their shape.
Is the target about height or volume?
Volume. 50% means half the water the glass can hold, not halfway up. In a glass that is narrow at the bottom, like a cone or a martini glass, half the water sits much higher than half the height. That's the trick that makes every glass different.
How does scoring work?
A perfect pour scores 100. Every 1% you're off costs 5 points, so 2% off scores 90 and 10% off scores 50. Five glasses make a best possible day of 500. Results within 2% are Great (green), within 6% are Close (yellow), and anything further is Off (red).
Can I top up, or pour water out?
You can top up as often as you like before pressing Done, but you can't pour water out. Pour too much and it spills over the rim. A few drops keep falling for a moment after you let go, so stop a little early.
Why does the pour speed up?
The longer you hold, the faster the water flows. Short taps give you fine control near the target, and a long hold fills the glass quickly.
What are special glasses?
About one glass a day comes with a twist. 🌋 Lava flows slowly and keeps oozing after you let go. 🥤 Fizzy soda foams up while you pour, and only the liquid counts, not the foam. A 💧 leaky glass slowly drains until you press Done. A card under the glass tells you when one shows up.
What is a Pourfect?
Landing exactly on the target, with 0.0% error, for a full 100 points. Your first Pourfect unlocks the golden tap, which you can switch on or off in Trophies.
Is there a way to practise?
Yes. Open the menu and choose Practice glass, or pick it from Settings or the How to play popup. The practice glass shows the target line and a live percentage, and it never counts towards your score.
Daily puzzles
When does a new Pourdle come out?
At midnight in your own time zone. The countdown on the results screen shows how long is left.
Does everyone get the same glasses?
Yes. Everyone playing on the same date gets the same five glasses and the same targets, so you can compare scores with friends.
Can I play today's glasses again?
Your first go is the one that counts. After you finish, you can press Replay today to play the same glasses again just for fun. A replay never changes your score.
I missed a day. Can I still play it?
Yes. Every past day is in the archive. Archive rounds are saved and count towards some trophies, but they don't add to your daily streak.
How do streaks work?
Your streak is the number of days in a row you've finished the daily round. The 🔥 at the top of the page shows it, and it turns dashed when today's round is still waiting. Streaks unlock trophies at 3, 7, 14, 30, 100 and 365 days.
How do I share my result?
Press Share result on the results screen. On a phone it opens your share menu with a picture of your five glasses. On a computer it copies a short, spoiler-free summary that you can paste anywhere.
Your progress and settings
Where is my progress saved?
In your browser, on your device. There's no account to make. That also means progress doesn't move between devices or browsers, and clearing your browser's site data for pourdle.app will erase it.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes, Pourdle works on phones, tablets and computers. On a phone you can add it to your home screen from your browser's share or menu button, and it opens like an app.
Can I change the sound, vibration or colours?
Open Settings to turn sound and vibration on or off, change the volume, switch on night mode, reduce motion, or add colour-blind symbols (✓ ≈ ✗) to every result.
How do I start over?
In Settings, press Erase all progress. This deletes your scores, streaks and trophies on this device and can't be undone.
About Pourdle
Is Pourdle free?
Yes, completely. It's supported by ads, which we keep away from the game itself so they never get in the way of a pour. See our privacy policy for details.
I found a bug or have an idea. Where do I send it?
We'd love to hear it. Use the feedback page or email hello@pourdle.app. Ideas for new glasses are especially welcome.
